Matthew Stern

is thrilled to return to WFT@ BU after music directing Shrek and Hairspray. Other Boston area credits: Fun Home, Allegiance, The Bridges of Madison County (IRNE Award), Scottsboro Boys (IRNE Award), Violet, and Big Fish (Speakeasy Stage); Merrily We Roll Along (Huntington; IRNE Award, Elliot Norton Nomination); She Loves Me, Altar Boyz, Mame, Forum, and Nutcracker (Greater Boston Stage Company); Brecht on Brecht, Assassins (NewRep); Ragtime (Fiddlehead); Cabaret (Boston Conservatory); Runaways, Parade, The Human Comedy, Pacific Overtures, Assassins, and Merrily We Roll Along (Boston University), and many productions at French Woods Festival. Matthew teaches musical theater on the faculties of The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Boston University, and Emerson College, and holds an MFA in Theatre Studies from Boston University.
