Laura DeGiacomo
has been teaching at Wheelock Family Theatre since 2003. She is a Boston based singer, dancer, actor, educator and choreographer. In addition to her classes at Wheelock Family Theatre, she has choreographed for a number of companies in the area including Freelance Players, Littleton High School, The Village Theatre Project, and Stonehill College. Laura also teaches Family Music Makers classes at NEMPAC, a Pre K music class for little ones and their parents/caregivers. As an actor, Laura had the pleasure of being cast in the National Tours of Grease and Showboat, as well as the European Tour of K. Hills’ Phantom of the Opera. Other Regional Theatre favorites include Mary Poppins (Wheelock Family Theatre), Sisters of Swing (Greater Boston Stage Company), A Christmas Carol (The Hanover Theatre), Better off Dead (Village Theatre Project), Fiddler on the Roof (Artpark), Anything Goes (Shawnee Playhouse), among others. Laura received her BFA in Musical Theatre with a secondary concentration in Dance and graduated cum laude from Emerson College. Laura is a proud member of Actors Equity Association since 2005.
