Russell Garrett
returns to Wheelock Family Theatre @ Boston University where he was seen as Centipede (James and the Giant Peach) and The Mad Hatter (Alice). He also directed and choreographed their hit production of Mary Poppins and choreographed Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka. Russell has appeared extensively on Broadway and on tour in The Scarlet Pimpernel, 42nd Street, Show Boat, My Fair Lady and A Chorus Line. In Boston he has appeared as The Interlocutor (The Scottsboro Boys), Mack (Fairview), Emperor Joseph ll (Amadeus), several roles at Greater Boston Stage Co. including Clown 1 (The 39 Steps), Julian Marsh (42nd Street), Captain/Hennesey (Dames at Sea), Bert Bratt (How to Succeed…) as well as twelve seasons as Bob Cratchit (A Christmas Carol) at North Shore Music Theatre. Russell will return to directing and choreographing later this year with productions of The Drowsy Chaperone at Sierra Rep in CA and Chicago at Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in Hilton Head, SC.
