is a Boston based theatre artist originally from Rhode Island. Combining his background in visual arts, experience as a performer onstage, and interest in dynamic composition, James brings a unique approach to storytelling through bold, expressive spaces. He is particularly interested in exploring conventional performance spaces in unconventional ways and bringing stories beyond the traditional in both location and expectation. Recent work includes world premiere operas Holy Ground (Geter/Palmer) presented with Taking Up Serpents (Sankaram/Dye) as well as Jungle Book (Sankaram/Rourke) at the Glimmerglass Festival.
