Jan Stankus
has been providing description for blind and low vision audience members for live performances in the Boston area for more than a decade. For 20 years at WGBH (now retired!), she described TV shows such as Arthur, Molly of Denali, All Creatures Great and Small, NOVA, NCIS, and Masterpiece Theatre (including Downton Abbey), as well as feature films, art exhibits, theme parks, national parks, museums, walking tours, online courses, and cruise ships. She currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert on the ACVREP international committee establishing standards for Audio Description Specialist certification.
